The old Roman proverb “Qui tacet consentire videtur” or “He who is silent appears to agree", is as true today as when they invaded almost two thousand years ago.
I see many people complaining about aircraft noise on my local Facebook group and in other for a and social media, as well as direct complaints to airports. All of these are then lost and the dispirited writers write no more. The airport owners and politicians then say that as the number of complaints is very low, no one really minds the noise, so I have created this web site allow you to record your thoughts and feelings about this problem and to create a live body of evidence to present to politicians and committees etc.
So, if you'd like not to “appear to agree” with the ever increasing noise disturbance, you can record your thoughts, feelings and ideas here.
The work I have done so far in collecting views has been very helpful, not only in getting the attention of those with power, but also encouraging campaigners to carry on, for it is a very dispiriting battle against the immortal corporations that own the airports and who's sole reason for existing is to increase profits every single year, regardless of the consequences. Employees who fail to do this are replaced.
I'm battling my own anger and despair to create this resource, so any helpful ideas and encouragement is welcome.
